Mr. Poelzer has more than 27 years experience in the oil and gas industry and is currently Executive Vice
President & Vice Chairman of Bonavista Petroleum Ltd. Prior to joining Bonavista Petroleum Ltd. in 1997,
Mr. Poelzer held various financial, merger and acquisition and strategic planning roles with Poco Petroleums
Ltd. leading to his appointment as Vice President, Business Development. Prior thereto, Mr. Poelzer was in
public practice.
Mr. Poelzer holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Distinction) degree from the University of Saskatchewan and has
been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta since 1985.
Mr. Poelzer is also a member of the board of directors of Bonavista Petroleum Ltd., as well as various private
companies and a charitable foundation.
